Aldar awards $460m contract for Yas Acres
Trojan General Contracting has been appointed as the main contractor for the first three precincts of the developer's flagship development on Yas Island
Trojan General Contracting has bagged a $460m (AED1.7bn) development contract from Aldar Properties PJSC.
According to the Abu Dhabi-based property development, investment, and management company, it has appointed Trojan General Contracting as the main contractor for the first three precincts of Yas Acres, its flagship development on Yas Island.
Under the terms of the agreement, the contractor will work on all infrastructure and 652 villas and townhouses, as well as the development’s golf course, golf clubhouse, mosque, and retail and community clubs.
The contract covers a period of 32 months, and the three precincts that have already been launched.
In a statement, Aldar stated that it is committed to handing over the first homes in Yas Acres, comprises 1,315 homes, a golf course, schools, retail, and other leisure amenities, at the end of 2019.
Commenting on the contract awarded to Trojan General Contracting, Talal Al Dhiyebi, chief development officer of Aldar Properties, said: “We are pleased to award the main contract for the first three precincts of Yas Acres, as we continue to focus on its timely completion, and delivery to customers. With the mobilisation of the contractors we expect to see highly visible progress as these precincts of villas and townhouses start construction.”
