Sharjah Asset Management, Du partner on SAP plan
Du will help the company manage life cycles with SAP's asset management software, which provides real-time visibility about asset performance
Sharjah Asset Management (SAM) has teamed up with Du under a seven-year agreement for the implementation of SAP asset management software.
The software will manage SAM's critical business processes and operations, and will be hosted by Du's private cloud.
SAM is the investment arm of Government of Sharjah.
Du will help SAM manage full life cycles with SAP's asset management software, which provides real-time visibility about asset performance.
The software makes it easier to optimise asset usage, shrink costs, and manage capital expenditures, and is expected to improve SAM's return on its assets, including fixed property, plant, and equipment.
SAM's agreement with Du offers better time optimisation due to the latter's infrastructure, and mitigates the uncertainty of usage requirements and operating costs, WAM reported.
Remarking on the agreement, Farid Faraidooni, chief operations officer at Du, said: "Our customers really appreciate the payment flexibility that we offer as a SAP cloud provider.
"With Du’s managed cloud, SAM can hold just one contract covering all aspects of the solution, including software, infrastructure, maintenance, and ongoing management services."
