Oman Tender Board awards projects worth $23.4m

Oman’s Tender Board has awarded tenders for developments worth $23.4m (OMR).
The tenders awarded were for government infrastructure projects, including the construction of internal roads in Al Amirat Industrial, located in the wilayat of Al Amirat. A project of Muscat Municipality, it has an estimated value of $11.7 (OMR4.5m), Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.
Tender was also awarded for Public Authority for Electricity and Water’s project, valued at $7.3m (OMR2.8m), involving additional works for the transport of 1,000m3 to 2,500m3 per day of potable water from the Izz water tanker station in the wilayat of Manah to Al Awamir villages in the wilayat of Izki.
Tenders were awarded for additional works for the expansion of the building of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs, valued at $1.1m (OMR406,395), and Public Authority for Electricity and Water’s expansion of water distribution networks in the wilayat of Sur, $735,272 (OMR283,080).
The Ministry of Housing, meanwhile, was awarded $630,961 (OMR242,920), to be put towards consultancy services for supervision of the construction of 272 housing units and public utilities in the wilayat of Mahout.
Tenders for the additional works required for the construction of a fish market in the fishing harbour in the wilayat of A’Suwaiq; and for consultancy services for the construction of a water network in Bisiya, Al Habi, Al Ma'amour, Al Ghafat, and the nearby villages in the wilayat of Bahla, were also awarded by the board.
The remaining tenders awarded were for additional works involving the construction of water distribution networks in the wilayat of Barka; for consultancy services for the supervision of the construction of 300 housing units with roads and lighting in the wilayat of Sohar; for the maintenance of utilities affected by adverse weather conditions in Wadi Daiqah Dam, in the wilayat of Quriyat ; and for consultancy services for the supervision of the construction of 200 housing units with roads and lighting in Barka.
