Msheireb Properties, developers of Msheireb Downtown Doha and a subsidiary of Qatar Foundation, recently signed a partnership agreement with Qatar Development Bank (QDB) to offer business opportunities to local investors and SMEs.
The project focus on and encourages Qatari culture, showcasing art, architecture and ambience that are synonymous with Qatar and consistent with the country’s cultural values.
This initiative reflects Msheireb Properties' aim to diversify into multiple sectors of Qatar's economy. According to this agreement, Msheireb Properties will provide the selected businesses with prime retail space located in Doha’s historical Al Kahraba Street within their landmark flagship project, the Msheireb Downtown Doha, an exciting new mixed use development that is designed to regenerate and energise the city's commercial centre.
Speaking of the venture, Msheireb Properties CEO Abdulla Hassan Al Mehshadi, said the endeavour is in synchrony and consistent with Qatar's National Vision 2030, which seeks to advance the country's economic and human development. “We aim to guide the energies of our youth towards entrepreneurship and the development of projects by encouraging their entrepreneurial skills and overcoming obstacles," he observed.
QDB will provide financial help and business counselling services to ensure the new enterprise grows and prospers.
