Video: Alliance against counterfeit steel

Andrey Burtsev of Interpipe talks about what the Steel Alliance Against Counterfeiting is doing to curb the spread and use of fake products in the region.

A non-profit industry initiative launched in November 2015, the Steel Alliance Against Counterfeiting (SAAC) consists of manufacturers of steel pipes, flanges, and fittings.

Aiming to curb the spread and use of fake steel products in the GCC, SAAC has undertaken a number of measures to raise the construction industry's awareness of the issue, including commissioning a survey on the subject.

In the video below, Andrey Burtsev, commercial director for the Middle East, Africa, and Asia at Interpipe, talks about the results of the survey, as well as what else SAAC is doing to address the problem of steel counterfeiting in the region.
