UAE’s Damac inks three-year e-tendering deal with ProTenders
Damac Properties has announced plans to move its tendering activities online as part of a three-year deal with ProTenders
Damac Properties has entered into a three-year e-tendering agreement with ProTenders.
Under the terms of the deal, the UAE-based real estate developer will use ProTenders.com as a platform to move its tendering activities online.
Damac took the decision in a bid to streamline its tendering operations. The ProTenders system has been designed to allow users to manage multiple tenders in real time using the website’s proprietary cloud-based technology.
Commenting on the agreement, Karim Helal, chief executive officer and founder of ProTenders, said: “We are delighted to have an opportunity to work with a leading developer such as Damac Properties, providing them with the platform, knowledge, and support they need to complete such a big undertaking.”
Mohammed Tahaineh, senior vice president for commercial activities at Damac, added: “With over 2,000 companies on our supplier list, ProTenders’ dynamic company and tender reports enable us to quickly compare bids and make the right choice by easily identifying variations and drilling down into specific categories.
“The platform allows faster decision-making as we are able to manage tenders in real time, resulting in reduced tender cycle times.”
ProTenders claims that its platform’s repository is able to handle any scope, from a single project to an entire city. The system has been built from the ground up for the construction industry, enabling developers, consultants, and contractors to work together in a secure digital environment.
The online platform also serves to centralise all activities, documents, bids, and communications within a single source, which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
“Our award-winning platform has so far proven to be a huge success with other developers in the region, as it has been used to manage over $20bn worth of bids across more than 1,000 tenders, ranging from building renovations to $300m infrastructure projects,” said Helal.

Damac’s ProTenders platform is now live, having progressed and processed more than 100 tenders during its soft launch period.
