Gemini to launch second project in Dubai's Business Bay
Gemini is in the process of acquiring permits from the authorities for its second Dubai project, which is currently in the design stage
Gemini Property Developers has purchased land for its second project in Dubai.
The UAE-based real estate developer plans to build a residential tower on the plot, which is located in Business Bay.
Sudhakar Rao, Gemini Property Developers' managing director, told Construction Week that his firm's next project would be launched by December 2017.
Gemini is in the process of acquiring permits for the development, which is currently in the design stage.
“The building will have a minimum of 29 floors,” said Rao. “However, we are looking to build a taller tower of 30-35 floors.”
Rao added that Gemini also has plans to construct a building in India. He explained: “It’s still in a primitive stage, but we do have plans to expand outside of the UAE, and our first choice is Mumbai.”
The company is currently developing its first Dubai project, Gemini Splendor. Located in Mohammed Bin Rashid City (MBR City), the development is due to complete before the end of 2017.
The G+8 building is Gemini’s first real estate project. The company entered the sector in 2015, after divesting its stake in oil and gas business, Sievert group.
