Msheireb Properties has supported Qatar Financial Centre Authority’s (QFCA) launch of its Ramadan corporate social responsibility campaign ‘Sandouq’, reflecting a spirit of giving and philanthropy during the holy month.

The campaign involved distributing gift boxes to the families of 200 Nepalese construction workers at the Msheireb Downtown Doha site. The gift boxes contained toys for children, educational materials, home goods and necessities to send home to their families.

Sheikh Mohamed Abdulla Al-Thani, ambassador for the initiative, led a team of volunteers including Qatari school students from Al Noor Institute, Amna Mahmoud Al Jaidah Primary School for Girls and Al Rashid Independent School for Boys to the construction site in Msheireb where they packed the boxes with the selected goods.

“The workers at Msheireb Downtown Doha are building what will be the QFC’s home and what will also be a unique landmark for Doha and the region,” QFCA chief executive Yousuf Mohamed Al-Jaidah said.

Deputy chief of mission, Mani Ratna Sharma at the Embassy of Nepal in Qatar, thanked the QFC and Msheireb Properties for coming together and developing this great initiative and recognising the achievements and contribution of the Nepalese community in Qatar.
