Abu Dhabi's Tadweer organised an awareness event titled “Let’s Sort Together for a Better Environment”.

The awareness programme was held in cooperation with Averda, Al Ain Centre for Care and Rehabilitation, and Etihad Modern Art Gallery.

The event was aimed at raising awareness and highlighting the importance of preserving the environment at Al Ain Mall.

Tadweer's Al Ain branch manager Nayel Rashed Al Shamsi said: “Our objective is to promote environmental awareness in the society of waste segregation at source and recycling, in order to help them understand and adopt the best sustainable environmental practices.

“This comes in line with our customer-centric mission and values of promoting sustainability, change, excellence, innovation, social responsibility, and empowerment,” Al Shamsi said.

He added: “This event is part of Tadweer’s efforts to underline the benefits of recyclable waste, foster a sense of responsibility, and shed the light on segregating waste at source.”

During the event, a number of programmes and activities were held, including a workshop for children and adults, a competition to collect the biggest amount of recyclable waste, and a reading platform.

Through these activities, Tadweer seeks to advise the public on the significance of environmental preservation and sustainable development.
