Miral has contracted Faithful+Gould to provide project management services for Phase 1 of its $3.27bn Yas Bay project in Abu Dhabi
Miral has appointed Faithful+Gould to provide project management services for its $3.27bn (AED12bn) Yas Bay development in Abu Dhabi.
Under the terms of the four-year contract, Faithful+Gould will work on Phase 1 of the two-phase project, which is located in the south of Yas Island.
Yas Bay’s initial phase will involve the construction of a 650-key hotel and Yas Arena, a multipurpose venue with a capacity of 18,000 people. Phase 1 will also include the development of food and beverage (F&B) and retail outlets, and a cinema.
All elements of Yas Bay’s Phase 1 are expected to open to the public in 2019.
Commenting on the contract win, Faithful+Gould’s Middle East managing director, Campbell Gray, said: “Miral has a clear objective for [Yas Bay] to become a globally recognised leisure and entertainment destination, integral to Abu Dhabi Vision 2030, and we are really excited to be part of that.”
Miral has implemented a diverse range of leisure and commercial amenities within Yas Bay’s master plan. The project will also feature residential developments to accommodate 15,000 residents.
Faithful+Gould’s GCC project portfolio includes Al Maryah Central, Bulgari Resort Dubai, and Royal Atlantis in the UAE; Doha Oasis in Qatar; and King Abdulaziz International Airport in Saudi Arabia.
