Qatar-based ASTAD participated as a sponsor in the World Stadium Congress this month, taking place from 21-24 May at the Westin Doha, Qatar.

The event hosted delegation of stadium stakeholders from over 20 countries working on leading stadium projects and tournaments globally, according to the Gulf Times.

Marco Cipolat, head of production for IQPC Middle East, said: “A little over 7 years ago we launched the forum as a platform to discuss the design and development of stadia ahead of the 2022 tournament.”

A spokesperson from ASTAD said: “At ASTAD, it is imperative that we deliver sports facilities not only for the World Cup, but for the Qatar National Vision 2030, ensuring we continue to embrace our nation’s commitment to sport with sustainable world-class sports facilities.”

ASTAD offers comprehensive construction management expertise to effectively minimise delays in project development and is currently working on major projects such as the Qatar Foundation Stadium and the National Museum of Qatar.
