Nakheel signs agreement with Brand Dubai
Under the terms of the agreement, Nakheel and Brand Dubai will collaborate on city beautification projects, in support of the latter's #DubaiSpeakstoYou initiative
Master developer, Nakheel, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office.
Under the terms of the agreement, the two parties will collaborate on city beautification projects, in support of Brand Dubai’s #DubaiSpeakstoYou initiative.
According to Dubai Media Office, as part of the initiative, art projects will be launched across the city, including the first flagship project of the MoU. The project will see the bridge leading to the East Crescent on Palm Jumeirah decorated with installations featuring dense foliage. The pillar of the bridge have been decorated to make them look like tree trunks.
Brand Dubai’s initiative reportedly aims to implement art projects across the city to help realise the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to transform the emirate into an open-air art museum.
Commenting on the agreement, Ali Rashid Lootah, chairman of Nakheel, said: "Our cooperation with Brand Dubai will enhance the aesthetic environment in the destinations we have developed, and support Nakheel’s own efforts to provide the best services to customers.
"We are honoured and proud to be part of this initiative by drawing on the region’s best artistic talent to bring this unique feature to Palm Jumeirah. This new work of art that forms part of this project will provide another attraction for residents and guests at our flagship project."
