Nasser Bin Abdullatif Alserkal Est., a company within the Al Serkal Group, has partnered with the Dubai Municipality on the construction of a $2.7m Alserkal Bridgestone Truck Tyre Centre in Dubai.

The 4,830m2 facility is being built in the Al Ruwwaya area of the city to specifically target the heavy commercial vehicle segment and will provide a wide range of truck maintenance and repair services.

Alserkal Bridgestone Truck Tyre Centre is being positioned as a service for truck owners and transport companies, including a total of 148 lease holders of the Dubai Municipality,” said Tariq Al Rasheed, director of retail at Nasser Bin Abdul Latif Alserkal Est.

As part of the development of the facility, and alongside its more typical truck service functions, the facility being developed by Nasser Bin Abdullatif Alserkal Est., will also see the incorporation a vehicle registration and insurance counter.

The facility will also handle preventive maintenance services for both trucks and trailers, including: oil, lube and filter servicing; electrical repairs; wheel-end work and brake adjustments; minor body repair services; and Department of Transport annual inspections.

Eng. Jumaa Al Fakaii, director of property management department, Dubai Municipality, noted that ongoing growth in trucking and heavy equipment segment will continue to drive growth in demand facilities to service the needs of heavy vehicles on Dubai’s roads.

He added: “This new centre, once completed, will be the first ever truck and heavy equipment facility that will combine all trucks and heavy vehicles in one location.”

The development will be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2018, and will be staffed by both experienced and internationally certified maintenance managers and technicians.

Ahmad Bin Eisa Alserkal, vice chairman at Nasser Bin Abdullatif Alserkal Est., noted: “Our partnership with Dubai Municipality represents a strategic retail investment that will help Bridgestone and Nasser Bin Abdullatif Alserkal grow faster across a very dynamic transportation sector.”

“Over the years, we have enjoyed strong partnerships with both Bridgestone and Dubai Municipality, and the establishment of this new trucking centre will allow us the opportunity to further reinforce our ties and help drive growth.”

Senior representatives from the RTA, Dubai Police, Emirates Transport and ENOC’s vehicle registration body Tasjeel also attended the earlier ground-breaking ceremony.
