Work commences on new roundabout in Bahrain

Bahrain’s Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs, and Urban Planning has announced that it has commenced work on a new road infrastructure project.
The Waley al-Ahd Highway Roundabout will create a new U-turn for cars heading for Shaikh Zayed Avenue from Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Highway.
The new roundabout is part of a series of roadwork developments the ministry has planned to reduce congestion across the country, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
The Executive Committee of the government of Bahrain has reportedly approved 11 projects designed to improve roads and connectivity, and all to be carried out as part of an extensive road development programme under the GCC Development Fund Programme.
