This year's midday work ban in Saudi Arabia, which took effect on 15 June, will be implemented until 15 September.

The three-month ban prevents any outdoor work from being carried out between 12pm and 3pm.

Employers were urged to adjust outdoor working hours to ensure the break is rightly implemented.

Through its Twitter account, the kingdom's Ministry of Labor and Social Development urged residents and citizens to report any violations of the midday break.

The labour ministry also advised workers to take regular breaks, stay in shaded areas, and consume "an adequate amount of water" to avoid sun strokes and heat stress.
