Sharjah Executive Council, SEC, has approved 400 land plots for residential and investment opportunities for citizens as a way to improve living quality in the emirate.

Khalid bin Butti Al Muhairi, chairman of the planning and surveying department, said that 400 people will be receiving land as part of the third batch of 2017, previously distributing 595 plots in phase one and 330 in the second phase.

These plots were distributed in Sharjah city, Al Hamriya city, central region and eastern region, according to WAM.

The current phase is divided into 94 residential lands, 150 commercial lands, and 156 lands for industrial projects.

The Permanent Committee on Lands Allocation in Sharjah announced last month that it had approved a total of 386 residential plot applications.

The decision came at a meeting discussing the need to speed up the allocation of lands and the application process for housing, commercial, industrial, and investment plots in Sharjah.
