UAE-based construction conglomerate, Beaver Gulf, has revealed that it has entered the real estate development sector.
Rajesh Kumar Krishna, the chairman and CEO of Beaver Gulf, told ConstructionWeekOnline that, in collaboration with Jumeirah Golf Estates (JGE), the firm is developing townhouses in Dubai.
The Zafran project comprises 130 townhouses, and is being developed within the Jumeirah Golf Estates community, with Beaver Gulf Real Estate Development acting as the client.
The project's construction contract is valued at $17.7m (AED65m), with JGE acting as the project consultant.
Remarking on the development, Krishna said: "The townhouses will be a smart blend of mid-market homes with the sophistication."
Beaver Gulf's portfolio of ongoing projects includes floating marine service stations at Yas Island and Khalifa Bridge in Abu Dhabi, and a 2B+G+M+13-storey Citymax Hotel in Ras Al Khaimah.
