Video: The region needs better procurement processes, says SSH CEO

Bob Hope of SSH talks about how the GCC construction industry can improve its procurement processes and why he believes doing so would be a "win-win for all"

For Bob Hope, procurement tops the list of the biggest challenges currently being faced by the regional construction industry.

Speaking with Construction Week, the chief executive officer of SSH, says that there's a need for the region to work towards implementing "best-practice procurement processes", noting that doing so will only result in a win-win scenario for all stakeholders involved.

SSH is an architecture and engineering consultancy with offices in the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and Saudi Arabia, among other locations. Its recent project wins include an infrastructure contract for Hasabi Waterfront Development in Bahrain, which was awarded by Manara Developments BSC.

Check out the video below to hear Hope's recommendations on how the GCC construction industry can improve its procurement processes.
