Faizal Babu Pallathody, MD of a leading AHU manufaturer VTS Clima reveals what VTS does different to stay ahead.
VTS Clima is a manufacturer of technically advanced air handling unit (AHU) that uses innovative technologies in the sphere of project research, production and logistics.
Faizal Babu Pallathody, managing director, VTS Clima Middle East and Africa, proudly says that VTS consistently provides superior quality of products at unbeatable market prices in the shortest lead time. He says: “These three elements of market policy ensure that VTS is always one step ahead, in every region of the world.”
Following the proven assembly method of the AHU industry, VTS created a network of six efficiently functioning logistics centres in Atlanta, Dubai, Moscow, Shanghai, Warsaw and Bangalore. Pallathody reiterates that VTS guarantees the shortest delivery terms in the market regardless of various locations in the world.
The mass scale production of reproducible devices makes it possible for VTS to offer products at the most competitive price and retain its best quality. Pallathody says: “VTS strives to adopt the philosophy of ‘Continuous Improvement’ and be a company that provides not only the best product, but also IT technologies that ensure comfort and speed, thus making everyday life much easier.”
Talking about the establishment of VTS in the Middle East region, Pallathody says that the company has been operating since 2000. He adds: “We have made remarkable success in the Middle East and have completed many flagship projects successfully. To name a few: Marina 101 (now, Hard Rock Hotel), Emerald Palace Kempinski ( Palm), IMG Theme park, Dubai Air Port Free Zone Office Buildings, and DEWA Solar Innovation Centre.”
In the year 2014, VTS progressed to a major milestone. VTS constructed and commissioned its own facility in Dubai JAFZA to cater to the entire Middle East, this comprises an assembly facility and a logistics centre.
Talking about the HVAC market in the Middle East, Pallathody says: “I believe HVAC is a necessity and not a luxury in the Middle East. The HVAC market always been very promising and it’s still growing. As the first half of the 2017 passed by, we are noticing a positive change for us this year compared to the previous year.”
On product innovations, Pallathody says: “We do all our designs and innovations and they are based on the end user’s perspective.” He gives a few examples: “The VTS AHU casing is a patented design and the outcome of this innovation is that by the use of C-section panels, we could eliminate many sheet metal parts, have less joints and a smooth surface. Ultimately, it was made stronger and air tight to be energy efficient.
“Secondly, we offer PLUG fan-VFD as a standard offering for better energy efficiency and reliability while offering minimum maintenance.”
One of the things that VTS does different to stay ahead of its competitors is to offer value to its customers. In addition, VTS’ innovative design approach allows it to have maximum components in stock. Pallathody says: “By combining stock availability with quick assembly method, VTS can deliver air-handling units (AHUs) in two weeks.”
Pallathody says that “excellence in simplicity” is the guiding principle behind VTS product designs and processes. He says: “We do practise continuous improvement on products in terms of design, materials used, type of components applied, assembly procedure and so on to optimise the cost, quality and lead time. With this strategy, we are able to offer best quality–price ratio in the market.”
