Aldar’s Ansam project in Abu Dhabi on track for 2017 handover

Abu Dhabi-headquartered developer, Aldar Properties, has announced that progress on its Ansam development is on track for a Q4 2017 handover.

In a statement, the company said that construction work on the Andalusian-style apartment project, located on the west part of Yas Island, is entering the final stages.

Façade works have been completed, snagging work is underway, and common areas in are various stages of completion. Meanwhile, community roadworks and landscaping are scheduled to be carried out this quarter, said the company.

Aldar also noted that its other developments are also progressing according to schedule, with landscaping in progress at West Yas, where mock-up villas have been opened. The mosque and retail building have been handed over, while the majority of the villas are structurally complete.

With its Al Hadeel development, in Al Raha Beach, Aldar said that it has concluded and commissioned elevator works, and is nearing completion on the internal fit out, façade, and swimming pools.

Casting work on Meera, Aldar’s first mid-market development under construction on Reem Island, has reportedly progressed up to the 20th floor.

Coastalscape work on Reem Central Park, meanwhile, nears completion. 

For Mayan, its golf and waterfront apartment development set alongside the Yas Links Golf Club and Yas Beach on Yas Island, Aldar revealed that is has wrapped up early works. Ghantoot Gorup, the project’s main contractor, is said to be set to begin construction on all infrastructure, as well as the launched villas and townhouses, golf course, clubhouse, mosque, retail facilities, and community clubs.

Another Aldar development that is on track for a Q4 2017 completion is Nareel Island, located on the coast adjacent to Al Bateen.

Al Merief in Khalifa City, on the other hand, is expected to be ready for handover by the first quarter of 2018, with deep services having commenced and earthworks substantially completed.

Aldar also noted that expansion work on Al Jimi Mall in Al Ain is registering significant progress, with ceiling works in the food court and main atrium nearing completion.

According to the developer, work is being implemented on the eastern façade and southern car park landscaping, while refurbishment of the public areas is underway.

Due for completion in 2018, the expansion will add another 33,000m2 of retail, leisure, and food and beverage spaces to the mall, bringing its total gross leasable area to 76,000m2, said Aldar.
