Badayer hospitality project set for $4m extension
The 955sqm addition raises total investment in the Al Badayer Oasis project to $16.3m from $12.2m, officials from Shurooq confirmed
Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has announced a $4m (AED15m) project comprising extension works for Al Badayer Oasis.
Spanning 24,000m2, Al Badayer Oasis is a leisure development under construction in the UAE emirate, and is set to receive two new buildings alongside its existing components.
The 955m2 addition raises total investment in the project to $16.3m (AED60m) from $12.2m (AED45m).
The first of Al Badayer Oasis’s two new buildings features 10 dormitory rooms designed to cater to individuals and groups, and provide premium hotel services.
Meanwhile, the second additional facility will feature a gym.
Remarking on the project, HE Marwan bin Jassim Al Sarkal, CEO of Shurooq, said the project's location "the largest and most impressive sand dunes in the UAE" will further its reputation as a leisure hub in Sharjah.
He continued: "Once completed, we fully expect that Al Badayer Oasis will become a first choice destination for both residents and tourists in the UAE.
"The two new buildings will add metropolitan comforts to what is a fantastic outdoor experience away from the city lights."
Located 40 minutes from Sharjah City, Al Badayer Oasis will comprise a camp, a resort, an amphitheatre, and a mosque, in addition to wooden walkways and parking areas.
Open-air courtyards and Majlis-styled lounges have also been designed for the project.
