The Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) announced that it has completed the renovation and expansion of the emergency department at Al Rahba Hospital.

Musanada aims to hand over the structure to Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha) in Q3 2017, UAE news agency, WAM, reported.

Spanning 2,800m2, the project's scope included the hospital's trauma centre and fast-track preliminary examination centre.

According to Musanada, the renovation and expansion programme was implemented to boost the emergency department’s efficiency and capacity, allowing for the treatment of a larger number of patients.

Yahya Al Ali, Musanada’s acting infrastructure and housing director, commented: “The $12m (AED44m) emergency department renovation and expansion project at Al Rahba Hospital will meet the needs of residents in [the] Al Rahba region and provide them with quality health services.”

He added: “Engaging an experienced team, Musanada has completed all the required project work in line with the highest international standards and Seha’s requirements.

“This was achieved without interrupting the required services for patients, medical staff, or hospital clients, while fully observing safety requirements and taking into account sustainability criteria that focus on the reduction of energy and water consumption.”
