The Innovation Centre under construction for Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is 50% complete.

Hadeed Emirates Contracting (HEC) is working as contractor for the project, which is situated within Dubai's Mohammed bin Rashid (MBR) Solar Park.

Spanning 4,000m2, the 90m-tall building, comprising four floors, will "be open to solar manufacturers and developers".

A permanent conference venue is being developed within the centre.

DEWA said the centre "will be a museum and exhibition of solar and renewable energy that will attract tourists, universities, schools, companies and partners".

Updates about the project's progress were revealed during a site visit conducted by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, managing director and CEO of DEWA, Dubai Media Office reported.
