ADEC approves $204m projects for Abu Dhabi, Al Ain

Projects worth $204.2m (AED750m) will be implemented by the UAE's Abu Dhabi Executive Council (ADEC). 

Two projects will be carried out to revamp internal streets in parts of Al Ain City, with a combined value of $60m (AED220m).

Both developments will ensure traffic safety, and will cater to the needs of a growing population. 

Two morgues are also set to be developed in Abu Dhabi. 

In addition, a maintenance programme worth $7m (AED25.5m) will be implemented for the Sheikh Zayed Road and Bridge.

Among ADEC's other projects is one focussed on upgrade works for the emirate's power grid. 

These developments were announced following a meeting held by ADEC's executive committee, chaired by Jasim Mohamed Al Zaabi, state agency WAM reported.
