Eshraq awards $39m contract for Abu Dhabi tower

Al Sweidi and Shams Contracting has been awarded the main construction contract for Marina Rise, a 233-unit residential project due to be completed in 2019

UAE developer, Eshraq Properties, has awarded a $39.2m (AED144m) contract for the construction of the Marina Rise project in Abu Dhabi. 

Al Sweidi and Shams Contracting has been awarded the main construction contract. 

Construction works are expected to complete by the end of 2019. 

The Reem Island project comprises a 24-storey residential tower with two basement levels, a ground floor, and two podium floors.

In a statement, Eshraq said the development will comprise 233 studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments; 271 parking spaces; and a retail space. 

Commenting on the agreement, Khaleefa Al Mehairi, a board member of Eshraq, said: "We are pleased to award this contract to Al Sweidi and Shams Contracting, a company with a proven track record of quality work and timely delivery.

"Once complete, the Marina Rise will be an exceptional new addition to the Reem Island community.”
