Asset management and construction consultancy, Currie & Brown, has announced that it has been appointed as cost manager for Miral’s Yas Bay development.
In a statement, Currie & Brown said that it will be supporting the construction of the project, which comprises two hotels, a multi-purpose arena, and a recreational pier featuring an active waterfront, food and beverage outlets, and retail shops.
Doug McGillivray, Currie & Brown’s regional director for the UAE and Oman, commented: “We’re delighted to be part of this exciting partnership, supporting Yas Island’s aspiration to become a top global leisure destination for families.
“The construction of Yas Bay will complement the country’s existing tourism offerings and strengthen the leading position that the UAE has achieved on the global economic and tourism map.”
Located to the south of Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, Yas Bay will boast a 641-key Hilton resort. Miral is reportedly planning on installing the resort with a multipurpose centre and seven dining outlets, which it will launch in 2019.
