Aconex to provide online solutions for infrastructure phase of Al Zorah Coastal City
Al Zorah Development Company has chosen Aconex to provide online solutions for the US $1.6 billion (AED5.9 billion) infrastructure phase of Al Zorah Coastal City in Ajman.
The Aconex system will be used to manage information and link organisations involved in the project – one of the biggest in the UAE.
By using the system, companies will be able to view, distribute and track their information online in real-time, from any location and at any time.
Al Zorah could cost up to $60 billion to construct and will be built over a 16-year period. The 12 million m2 project is expected to house more than 200,000 people and will have schools, marinas, hotels and golf courses.
The infrastructure phase will include the backfilling of major road networks and the construction of a wastewater treatment plant, a district cooling plant and a power station.
“The infrastructure phase of the project will involve organisations from the Middle East and overseas, that will need instant, round-the-clock access to their data,” said Imad Dana, CEO of Al Zorah Development Company. “Aconex will make it easy for any team member, anywhere, to retrieve the information they require.”
Al Zorah Development Company is a joint venture between the Government of Ajman and Solidere International Limited, a developer of large scale projects in the Middle East and the Mediterranean.
Aconex, is the world’s largest provider of online technology to the construction and engineering industries and is the market leader in the Middle East.
