Fire breaks out at 700sqm warehouse in Kuwait

A fire broke out in a 700m2 fodder warehouse in Kuwait's Al Rai area on Sunday, 20 August, 2017. 

Five firefighting squads from Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) worked on the extinguishing operation.

The squads arrived from the fire departments of Industrial Shuwaikh, Al-Ardiya, Al-Isnad, South Salmiya, and the Capital City. 

Citing a KFSD statement, news agency KUNA reported that three firefighters "were slightly injured; two of them received first aid at the scene, and the third was rushed to a nearby hospital".

While the fire "destroyed" the warehouse, firefighters prevented it from spreading to nearby stores, according to KFSD's statement. 

Investigations are underway to determine the fire's cause.
