Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) has connected 75 new buildings to its services so far this year, the company reportedly said.
Empower also announced progress towards deploying its services to many other buildings in the coming months, a TradeArabia News Service reported.
The company CEO Ahmad Bin Shafar said: “This is an important milestone for us as district cooling is an environment-friendly technology and the way forward to achieving a green economy.
“We’re pleased that developers have realised the importance of this technology and in the coming years, we will see more building owners and developers converting from conventional chilling methods to district cooling.”
“At Empower, we’re determined to ensure that developers reduce their dependence on conventional methods of cooling. We’ve introduced new technologies and solutions that guarantee not only energy efficiency, but also offer higher cost savings.
"Having 75 buildings register with us so far in the year is indeed an achievement and we’re confident that our new set of solutions will register more growth in the coming months,” added Bin Shafar.
