Dubai to host GCC smart cities conference in September 2017

Dubai is set to host the 7th GCC Municipalities and Smart Cities Conference from 27 to 28 September, 2017.
According to Datamix, the event organiser, the conference will cover all aspects of smart city development, including fire prevention, public safety, and the changing role of municipalities.
Event participants will also discuss investment strategies, smart transportation and mobility, and threats to social stability, with the aim of improving infrastructure, increase sustainability, and enhance resilience, Datamix added.
In a statement, the organiser said that the event will provide “a premier platform for knowledge exchange and peer-to-peer engagement, as well as a central platform for the interchange of best cases and business deals, bringing together the highest level of stakeholders.
“This is in the context of smart cities development to co-create innovative and integrated urban solutions for a more liveable and sustainable future.”
Datamix is expecting the conference to see in attendance a mix of participants, including government officials, engineers, architects, designers, municipal representatives, and sustainability and green building consultants.
