Damac company awards $308m London tower deal to Multiplex
Multiplex will build Nine Elms Property's 50-storey Aykon London One tower, worth $758m
Nine Elms Property has awarded a $307.8m (GBP240m) construction contract for its 50-floor Aykon London One tower to Multiplex.
The real estate company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dubai's Damac International.
Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, the project is valued at $758m (EUR645m).
Completion is scheduled for 2020, with 45% of the project pre-sold, the company said in a statement.
Aykon London One comprises 450 residential units, in addition to office space, a roof garden, and residential amenities.
Remarking on the contract award, Hussain Sajwani, chairman of Damac, said: "Based on its 50-year track record and expertise in the construction industry, we are delighted to appoint Multiplex as the main contractor to build this iconic residential project."
