Alba clocks 2 million man-hours without LTI for Line 6 project

Aluminium Bahrain has achieved more than 2 million safe man-hours without Lost Time Injury (LTI) on its Line 6 Expansion Project on 31 July, 2017

Aluminium Bahrain has achieved more than 2 million safe man-hours without Lost Time Injury (LTI) on its Line 6 Expansion Project on 31 July, 2017.

Alba’s chief executive officer, Tim Murray, said: “We are very pleased to safely progress towards expanding our production at the plant with our landmark project - Line 6 Expansion Project.

"I thank our employees and contractors for their commitment to embrace Safety and for setting new standards in our Safety performance with Line 6 construction underway.”

As one of the largest brownfield developments in the region, Bahrain’s Line 6 Expansion Project involves the construction of a sixth pot line, 1,792MW power station and other industrial services.

The project is expected to begin production by early 2019.
