Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada), in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), has completed construction works on six new schools in Abu Dhabi, it has been revealed.

The $182.7m (AED671m) project commenced in April this year and is on track for a September 2017 delivery, UAE state news agency, WAM, reported.

Of the six schools, four are located in Al Ain, while the remaining two are on Abu Dhabi Island.

According to ADEC, the school buildings offer a sustainable, safe, and secure environment for students and teachers alike, while also offering parents and members of the local community access to facilities like sports halls, libraries, and theatres after school hours.

Quoting Saleh Al Ali, Musanada’s acting education director, WAM said that Musanada manages the design and construction of schools and educational facilities according to international practices, as well as to sustainability requirements. Each of the six schools has reportedly attained a 2-Pearl Estidama rating, as stipulated by the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council.
