The Sharjah Public Works Department has completed construction works on Diba Al Hisn Model Nursery, and has handed it over to Sharjah Education Council.

The $2.5m (AED9m) project is a fully serviced and equipped childcare facility that can accommodate up to 88 children, according to UAE state news agency, WAM.

Diba Al Hisn Model Nursery is reportedly part of an initiative of HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who has called for the development of 66 nurseries in the emirate.

The newly completed nursery includes eight classrooms, as well as indoor and outdoor play areas, a food court, administrative offices, and service facilities.
