The following video contains renderings of Aljada, a $6.5bn (AED24bn), 2.2km2 (220ha) megaproject that is being developed by Arada in Sharjah.
With an estimated total population of 70,000 people, the 800-building community looks set to become the emirate’s largest ever real estate development.
Unveiled in the presence of HH Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the master-planned megaproject will feature a diverse array of residential, commercial, retail, leisure, and entertainment offerings.
The development’s master plan was designed by Woods Bagot in close collaboration with Sharjah Urban Planning Council.
With construction activities scheduled to commence in Q1 2018, Aljada will be delivered in 10 phases, the first of which will be delivered in 2019. The entire project is scheduled to complete by 2025.
Check out the video below to find out what the record-breaking megaproject will look like once finished.
