UAE’s Aldar hands over Repton School on Reem Island
Repton School has been handed over to private school operator, Evolvence Knowledge Investments (EKI), ahead of the start of the 2017/18 academic year
UAE-headquartered developer, Aldar Properties, announced that it has a completed the Repton School project on Reem Island.
The asset has been handed over to the operator, Evolvence Knowledge Investments (EKI), ahead of the start of the 2017/18 academic year, according to Aldar.
Comprising two main buildings, the school features a dance theatre, as well as several athletic facilities, including tennis courts, a 25m swimming pool, and two multi-purpose gyms.
Construction works on the project commenced in May 2016 and completed in August 2017, Aldar said in a statement.
Commenting on the completion of the project, Talal Al Dhiyebi, chief development officer of Aldar Properties, said: “I am pleased to be able to hand over Repton School after what has been a high-tempo construction schedule, in time for the new academic year.
“We have a track record in delivering schools that will meet the needs of future generations, and I am sure that Repton students will benefit greatly from the facilities on offer. I am also pleased that it is located in a catchment area that will benefit a great number of people living in Aldar homes on Reem Island.”
Located within Aldar’s master-planned community on Reem Island, the school is in close proximity to other Aldar projects, such as Sun and Sky Towers, The Gate and Arc Towers, Meera, and The Bridges.
