Bahraini projects worth more than $11bn (BHD4.1bn) will be on exhibit at Cityscape Global 2017, which is due to open in Dubai today.

The mixed-use developments will be showcased at Bahrain's pavilion during the three-day event, to be held at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC).

Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), as well as the developers of Bahrain Bay, Diyar Al Muharraq (pictured), Durrat Al Bahrain, Canal View, and Bahrain Marina, will participate at the show.

Large-scale infrastructure projects underway in various sectors across Bahrain are valued at $32bn (BHD12bn), and these are expected to support the kingdom's real estate growth.

Legislative and regulatory developments, some of which are being carried out following consultation with the private sector, are also expected to benefit Bahraini investments.

Khalid Al Rumaihi, chief executive officer of Bahrain EDB, said the Bahraini real estate sector's resilience is a key attraction for investors.

Commenting on Bahrain's presence at Cityscape Global 2017, he added: "Recent figures demonstrate the resilience of Bahrain’s real estate sector and highlight the increasing demand for housing, not only in the kingdom but across the wider region.

"Strong growth in this sector has been supported by the implementation of economic and legislative reform and forward-thinking policies such as the public-private partnership model [driven] by the Ministry of Housing and the recently issued Real Estate Law.

"Cityscape Global is an excellent platform for developers to showcase their world-class projects to interested investors and we think Bahrain has great developments to offer and are pleased to be taking part for the third year in a row," Al Rumaihi added, according to BNA.
