Honeywell launches home automation system
Honeywell's home automation system allows occupants to control HVAC equipment, lighting systems, electrical sockets, and garage doors from a single user interface
Technology provider, Honeywell, has launched its Home Automation Solution for the Middle East, it has been announced.
The product has been designed to allow occupants of villas and apartments to control HVAC equipment, lighting systems, electrical sockets, and garage doors from a single user interface.
The system, developed with greenfield residential projects in mind, also allows for the monitoring of indoor and outdoor CCTV systems, Honeywell said in a statement.
The automation system’s features include control modules that suit multiple décor options, customisable control buttons, and a navigation scheme that supports panoramic images.
Norm Gilsdorf, president of Honeywell (Middle East, Russia, Turkey, and Central Asia), commented: “Connectivity is at the core of everything we do at Honeywell, and we have leveraged our long experience in home comfort and automation to present the best technology available to enhance residential experiences here in the Middle East.
“In this region, there has been increasing demand for automated home solutions, and we are excited to introduce this at a time when many new premium residential projects are under development.”
Future updates to the technology are expected to support video intercom systems, Honeywell revealed.
