Dubai Carbon inks deal for Jumeirah Luxury Living project
Dubai Carbon will provide guidance and advice to Jumeirah Luxury Living, resulting in lower carbon and greenhouse emissions
Jumeirah Luxury Living has signed an memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Dubai Carbon Centre of Excellence in a further step to support Dubai’s ‘green vision’ for sustainable development.
The collaboration will result in Dubai Carbon providing guidance and advice to Jumeirah Luxury Living, resulting in lower carbon and greenhouse emissions for their lifestyle communities in Dubai.
Jumeirah Luxury Living chief executive officer Walid El Dawy, said: “We are committed to supporting energy management, not only as part of the Dubai Integrated Energy Strategy 2030, but for the benefit of our residents.
“This approach will ultimately allow them to reduce their energy bills as well as live in a cleaner, fresher environment. This agreement is one of many partnerships and initiatives that we’ve implemented to underline our commitment to providing sustainable living for our residents," added El Dawy.
Dubai Carbon chief executive officer Ivano Iannelli, said: “Dubai is focused on promoting sustainable development initiatives in order to transition to a low-carbon and green economy. Jumeirah Luxury Living is a key partner for Dubai Carbon and will help us achieve our goals as part of the Dubai Integrated Energy Strategy 2030.”
A collection of 291 attached villas and townhouses, Jumeirah Luxury is located in Jumeirah Golf Estates (JGE), and is expected to be completed in 2019.
