Shurooq's Al Bait Hotel in Sharjah 70% complete

Works on Sharjah Investment and Development Authority's (Shurooq) Al Bait Hotel in the UAE emirate are 70% complete, it has been revealed.
Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, chairperson of Shurooq, recently inspected progress on the project, which is due to meet its completion deadline of 2018.
Al Bait Hotel is a luxury five-star hotel being built at Heart of Sharjah.
With a $27.2m (AED100m) construction budget, the hotel's development programme includes 54 luxury guestrooms and suites, five cafes and restaurants, and other supporting amenities.
Souq Al Arsah, one of the UAE's oldest marketplaces, will be connected with the hotel.
Meanwhile, Al Qasimi also inspected the progress of works at Fossil Rock Lodge, which is being developed as Phase 2 of the Mleiha Archaeological and Eco-Tourism project.
The Mleiha Fossil Rock Lodge project is located close to the Fossil Rock, one of the natural landmarks in Sharjah's Mleiha area.
Fossil Rock Lodge is 60% complete, and is on track to open at the end of this year, WAM reported.
