UAE’s Farnek inks two-year cleaning contract with RAKBank

National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah (RAKBank) has awarded a two-year cleaning services contract to UAE-based facilities management (FM) provider, Farnek.

Under the terms of the deal, Farnek’s team will be responsible for all cleaning requirements within RAKBank’s operation headquarters in Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah.

Geoff Stecyk, chief operating officer of RAKBank, said that Farnek had been selected because of its “solid track record” within the UAE’s cleaning services segment.

“We especially appreciate the company’s commitment to the environment by using sustainable cleaning materials and products wherever possible,” he added.

Farnek’s existing clients within the banking sector include United Arab Bank (UAB), Mashreq Bank, and Dubai Outsource Zone (Emirates DOZ), for which the firm provides mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP), and heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) services.

Markus Oberlin, chief executive officer of Farnek, said: “This agreement further strengthens one of our core business sectors, as we strive to solidify long-term partnerships with major banks across the UAE.

“Our expertise in the banking sector, particularly our in-depth understanding of the required flexibility of working hours in order to maintain the integrity of the bank’s asset, underscores our market-leading position,” he concluded.
