Leaders UAE 2017: Summit opens in Dubai today

The eighth iteration of Construction Week: Leaders in Construction UAE Summit has kicked off in Dubai.
Currently underway at Jumeirah Emirates Towers, the event will feature an array of high-profile speakers from both the public and private sectors in the UAE.

More than 200 construction professionals are set to attend the event.
The event’s keynote address will be delivered by Ahmed Al Khatib, Expo 2020 Dubai’s senior vice president of real estate and delivery.
Cynthia Corby, audit partner and Middle East construction industry leader at Deloitte & Touche Middle East will then take the stage to present her economic review and outlook, ‘A Region Rebounding’.
Corby will consider how the UAE’s diversification efforts have aided economic resilience in the face of declining oil revenues, and explore future accelerators within the country’s construction sector.
These presentations will be followed by panel discussions featuring eminent construction leaders, such as Riad Nashif, Aecom’s executive vice-president for the Middle East and managing director for the UAE and Oman, and Yu Tao president and chief executive officer of China State Construction Engineering Corp Middle East.
