Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has announced that it has signed an agreement to carry out refurbishment activities at Tarim Secondary School in Hadhramaut, Yemen.

Under the terms of the agreement, ERC will restore and maintain the school’s meeting hall and health facilities, UAE state news agency, WAM, reported.

According to Abdulaziz Al Jabri, the head of the ERC team in Hadhramaut, the project is among the key activities the organisation is undertaking in Yemen and part of its efforts to support education in Hadhramaut and other liberated governorates in the country.

ERC is reportedly in the process of evaluating other infrastructure projects that it can implement through maintenance, restoration, and construction, in addition to continuing rescue and humanitarian support for residents.

In August this year, ERC announced that it has signed an agreement to implement a water network project in the Al Misbah and Al Asam districts of Al Soum in Hadramaut.
