Video: Tenant-driven developments are the UAE's latest trend

Two UAE developers outline how they are each using neuroscience and market research to design projects based on end-users' conscious and sub-conscious preferences

End-user needs and preferences are influencing development plans and project designs in the UAE.

Property developers, such as Majid Al Futtaim and Lootah Real Estate Development (LRED), are at the forefront of this drive.

Majid Al Futtaim recently revealed the findings of a neuroscience study that measured UAE participants' conscious and sub-conscious responses to 100 images of landscapes from around the world.

Meanwhile, LRED is also designing projects based on end-user tastes.

The trend is reshaping how the firm's projects are sized and designed, a senior company official told ConstructionWeekOnline

The following video outlines the efforts and philosophies that are guiding both companies' uptake of this trend.
