New contractor named for Dubai’s Cleopatra and Aladdin towers
Beijing Emirates Company has been appointed as the new contractor for the Cleopatra Tower and Aladdin towers in Tanmiyat's Living Legends development
Saudi Arabia-based developer, Tanmiyat Group, has appointed Beijing Emirates Company as the new contractor for its Cleopatra Tower and Aladdin Tower, both part of its Living Legends project in Dubailand.
In a statement, the developer revealed that the construction firm has also been awarded the contract for The Court Tower, a project under development along the Dubai Water Canal.
With Beijing Emirates Company signed on to resume the construction of the towers, Tanmiyat said that it expects the three properties to be completed within the coming six months.
Their completion would see the handover of more than 500 residential and commercial units, comprising a mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes, as well as penthouses.
According to Tanmiyat, the road and utilities infrastructure of its $1.9bn (AED7bn), 12-tower Living Legends master plan have been completed, with 88% of the project already sold.
Launched in 2006, Living Legends encountered construction delays during the financial crisis, with work halted and only restarted in 2012.
Phase 1 of the project, consisting of one tower block and 184 villas, was handed over in 2016.
Meanwhile, The Court Tower is a mixed-use property consisting of water canal apartments, offices, and shops.
The developer also announced that it has another real estate project in the pipeline, which it plans to deliver in 2019. Tanmiyat said it will reveal more details about the new project within the coming months.
