Mircom TX3 InSuite

TX3 InSuite’s open and secure plug-in based architecture can interface with many third party software solutions

TX3 InSuite Touch Gateway is a Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) driven 10” touch tablet with ZigBee™ wireless capability. It provides life safety & fire alarm annunciation, card access integration and two-way audio & video communication capability, for a more secure building. Additionally, TX3 InSuite’s open and secure plug-in based architecture can interface with many third party software solutions for lighting control, HVAC management, energy management and more. The solution is easy to install, saving manpower and money.

The TX3 InSuite Touch Gateway comes with a large 10” LCD touch screen. The innovative tablet-like device is designed to send and receive audio and video signals, browse the internet, run other software applications plus interface with various hardware modules and gateways to integrate a variety of wired and wireless devices.

It seamlessly integrates physical and logical access control, home automation, internal building communications, emergency alerting, and property management software.

Amazon AWS IoT Button

The AWS IoT Button is a programmable button based on the Amazon Dash Button hardware. This simple Wi-Fi device is easy to configure and designed for developers to get started with AWS IoT, AWS Lambda, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon SNS, and many other Amazon Web Services without writing device-specific code.

You can code the button’s logic in the cloud to configure button clicks to count or track items, call or alert someone, start or stop something, order services, or even provide feedback. For example, you can click the button to unlock or start a car, open your garage door, call a cab, call your spouse or a customer service representative, track the use of common household chores, medications or products, or remotely control your home appliances.

The button can be used as a remote control for Netflix, a switch for your Philips Hue light bulb, a check-in/check-out device for Airbnb guests, or a way to order your favourite pizza for delivery. You can integrate it with third-party APIs like Twitter, Facebook, Twilio, Slack or even your own company’s applications.

After you configure the AWS IoT Button to connect to your Wi-Fi network and provide the button with an AWS IoT certificate and private key, the button will securely connect to AWS IoT and publish a message on a topic when clicked.

Foghorn Lightning Edge Intelligence

The platform enables businesses with distributed operations to get insights into IoT systems

Silicon Valley startup FogHorn Systems introduced the Lightning software platform, which is designed to bring real-time analytics and machine learning down to edge devices, including IoT gateways and even very low-powered processing components built into industrial products. Lightning has been used in proof-of-concept implementations in things like pumps, wind turbines, buses and locomotives. The technology will also be part of an analytics component of General Electric’s Predix industrial IoT platform coming later this year, FogHorn CEO David King said.

This platform allows application developers and system integrators to quickly build high-performance edge analytics solutions for industrial operations applications.

The platform also enables businesses with distributed operations to get insights into IoT-connected machines, as well as operations technology control systems and sensors attached to those machines.

LogMeIn’s Xively Product Launcher

The ProductLauncher is powered by the full-enterprise Xively platform

LogMeIn enables companies to model their IoT projects before they invest time and resources to develop customer software and physical projects. The ProductLauncher is powered by the full-enterprise Xively platform and offers more than 300 connected templates across several IoT use cases, including smart home, commercial and health care, according to LogMeIn.

It is purpose-built to address key challenges in building and launching a connected product business, by getting to market faster and spending less on developing a custom solution.
