Sharjah to develop desalination units

The Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (Sewa) has announced plans to develop desalination plants, and transmission and distribution systems to improve water quality in several areas of Sharjah.The announcement came during a meeting of Dr Engineer Rashid Al Leem, chairman of Sewa, with a French delegation from Sweez Company, specialised in the development of desalination units, water networks and water quality improvement.The French delegation was headed by Pierre Yavis Policon, CEO of the company in the Middle East, Africa and India, WAM reported.Al Leem stated that all the projects of the Authority that will be implemented during the coming period use the latest global technologies in this vital sector.
