The UAE has signed off $58m (AED213m) worth of development projects across the country.
Approved by the Follow-up Committee in support of comprehensive expansion plans in the emirates, the plan will include housing and medical projects to help meet demand in the sectors.
Under the chairmanship of Ahmed Juma Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs, the committee has approved 163 Emirati beneficiaries of housing projects worth $42m (AED153m), in cooperation with the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme.
Consultancy services for the development of a more than $735,000 (AED2.7m) road between Mohammed bin Zayed City and Khalifa bin Zayed Road in the Emirate of Fujairah was also approved.
In addition, the committee approved funding for advisory services for the construction of a $1.2m (AED4.3m) mixed-use building in Fujairah.
It will further review a number of ongoing service projects, in addition to other topics on its agenda.
