Al Shirawi FM wins International Humanitarian City IFM contract

The company will deliver MEP, specialised management, and housekeeping services at the development

Al Shirawi FM has been awarded a contract to provide integrated facilities management (IFM) at the International Humanitarian City (IHC). 

The company will deliver mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP), specialised management, and housekeeping services at IHC.

IHC is situated within the 5,800ha Dubai Industrial City (DIC) [pictured], which Al Shirawi FM has been managing for more than seven years.

DIC is home to commercial buildings, more than 1,000 warehouses, 120 showrooms, and 22 labour camps. 

Meanwhile, IHC serves as a commercial and logistics centre for the distribution of humanitarian aid, and is home to more than nine agencies of United Nations, as well as more than 40 non-governmental organisations (NGOs). 

In a press statement, Al Shirawi FM said it would draw on its hospitality and engineering expertise to deliver the contract at IHC. 

Commenting on the award, Navin Valrani, the chief executive officer of Al Shirawi FM, said: "Al Shirawi FM is clearly emerging as one of the largest FM companies in the industry today with several projects added to our portfolio recently.

"Our strength is our qualified workforce. We are agile and able to quickly mobilise our staff, which is in excess of 2,000, for large-scale commercial developments such as IHC."
