As part of Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers' (CIBSE) UAE Week programme that began on 29 October, CIBSE will organise a conference on 1 November in Dubai that will address the challenges of tall building design.
Talking about the conference, Raef Hammoudeh, director of MEP Engineering for KEO International Consultants and the chair of CIBSE UAE region, said: “We are organising a technical conference to discuss some important building design aspects and tackle some of the challenges associated with the design of tall sustainable buildings in arid conditions.
"We will be finishing the week with our annual dinner on Thursday 2 November 2017.”
He added: “The CIBSE week will be heavily supported by the CIBSE headquarters, through the participation of the CIBSE President, CEO and the technical director, and by our committee in the UAE. We expect that the local membership, consultants, contractors, manufacturers, organisations and authorities will feature in and support our initiatives.”
This CIBSE UAE Region Technical Conference will bring together experts in building technologies from across the country for knowledge sharing and networking on this important topic.
The event will include a keynote presentation from CIBSE President, Peter Y Wong, with an international perspective, with other speakers from the UK as well as local experts, providing insights into the challenges of delivering tall buildings in the gulf environment.
The conference will take place at the Serdaal Ballroom, Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina.
